Mark Corrington's
American Miniature Theater

Design & Features

It takes eighteen (19!) plates to create
The American Miniature Theater,
qualifying it as a miniature or a model rather than a toy.

Some, however, may consider building such a structure too complicated of an endeavor, defeating its purpose.

To make you want an American Miniature Theater of your own, allow me to tout its various features.

The American Miniature Theater is 12 1/2 inches tall, 10 inches wide and 7 1/2 inches deep, allowing it to sit atop most bookcases. Its scale is compatible to classic toy theaters, allowing you employ reprinted booklets from that era in addition to sets, characters and props found in modern versions.

The American Miniature Theater makes it an excellent showcase for long-term displays as well as a fully functional toy theater.

Unlike its predecessors, The American Miniature Theater not only has its front panels decorated but its side and rear panels as well. Deluxe features include a marquee frame to hold billing/program cards, a rear compartment for storing scenery and a drawer for characters & props.

The above illustrations give a rough idea of how the pieces go together. Internal supports are not shown because, when completed, they would not be visible.
